Include the units you downloaded. If nothing else it will settle the desire to play ME until the other is released. I love playing on maxed sized maps.

Would you mind if I used your map to make a Lord of the Rings Conquest? For those who want to know what it is like, I'm only making the War of the Ring style Middle Earth, meaning not every detail. I will make only crucial cities least four cities per civilization, and using Conquests I am going to make a reverse CTF (for Frodo vs. the mountain action) and locked alliances (Hobbits, Men, Dwarves, Elves VS. Mordor & Isengard; Ents VS. Isengard). It will only really be a Adventure/War Scenario (no settlers, advances, or resources) but I think it will come out really cool and worth playing.

I have already made a mod from this map and i still trying to get the dam thing to work properly. It runns slow those so it may not be very playable. But if you want to use it feel free.

thsi map looks cool, but when you play it around 100ad the ai turns become very long.

I know I'm having the same problem. Unfortunitly large maps don't run very fast in Civ3.

Unzip the file, then move it to your Scenarios folder (.../Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Scenarios OR, with PTW/C3C, .../Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/[Conquests OR Civ3PTW]/Scenarios).

Then, it should appear in your Scenarios listing on the startup (Civ Content in Conquests).

As well as this map I has made a Fellowship of the ring scenario which I have place in the mod section. If you like that map you might want to take a look at it. The scenario has an improved Map and also the names of middle earth civilisations.

Beautiful map, have you checked out mine. I included the island of Numenor just for fun, if anyone wanted to play from first to third age(though the island sank). Oh well we're just rewriting history as always. I love the giant rivers, and historic roads.

Maybe yours will be used for the LOTR scenario like someone said!
