How about "Isolation"?
Its the little victories that mean so much you know.![]()

Still, at the end of the day, Gaza remains a district completely reliant on Israel for its food, materials and economy, not to mention being totally at the mercy of the IDF, whenever it chooses to stop by. So I guess I'll just go with the other descriptionI hear tossed about" 'open air prison'...
Oh, don't worry. At some point an utterly crap situation will arise somewhere else, and people will say: "It's Gaza all over!"Well, then, by all means lets make something up. I nominate 'gazoodihood'. How about you?
Careful what you say, George Rekers may just want to introduce you to his Samsonite./meh. I choose to see it as enjoying the small things in life as well as the big things.
That makes me doubt the suitability of word "brutal". As for the word "apartheid" itself...And you still didn't answer the question. Does the fact that people still breed under such oppressive conditions make it OK as you apparently insinuated above?
Oh, I see. You are using the word "apartheid" in its wider sense. Maybe if you stretch it wide enough, you will find that any country with some sort of border security measures practices apartheid. It is not "simplifying" the situation. It is calling it what it actually is. Fortunately, the word "apartheid" is not yet like the word "holocaust", which can now only be used to describe one particular atrocity instead of many which are quite similar.
Why are they "completely reliant on Israel"? Don't they share a border with their Egyptian brethren? You're a petty man, you know..?

If Egypt were a democracy, there would most likely be no Egyptian blockade of Gaza. Why are they "completely reliant on Israel"? Don't they share a border with their Egyptian brethren?
Probably not. But it's good someone even cares to remember that Israel is not the only country blockading Gaza.If Egypt were a democracy, there would most likely be no Egyptian blockade of Gaza.
Yes, for one thing it ensures Israel keeps it up.Probably not. But it's good someone even cares to remember that Israel is not the only country blockading Gaza.
It is, however, the only one bombed from there.
