GMAIL "hijacking" browser

Currently I have gmail tabbed and every time I refresh or load a new page in gemail, if I switch out to another tab to read something else, as soon as it's done or almost odne loading the new page in GMAIL it immediately switches back to GMAIL.

This REALLY pisses me off

Is there anyway to turn this bloody thing off? I'm using Opera.

Tools -> Preferences

From that list on the left choose 'Content' and click on the 'JavaScript options...' button. From there uncheck 'Allow raising of windows' (and if you like 'Allow lowering of windows' too). Then 'OK' your way out and Opera is again a pleasure to use
