To me speed is pretty immaterial with a GG, logistics card and a +1 MP promotion foot can get pretty fast.
To me Cavalry are OP because ignoring ZOC rules allows and escape foot do not have.
Xbows are far more godlike than light cav if it was not for the current pillaging rules
