Hey everyone! I'm making a scenario based on the Christian version of Armageddon. With all the battles in the end times and Jesus Christ coming to Earth and stuff. Just wanted to know who'd be interested in it? You can play as the Forces of God, the Forces of Satan or the Humanists, who are like the west with capitalism and greedy money makers, etc. I thought I was going to be done with the scenario in 2 days but I accidentally pressed the Return key and the simulation went through unfinished so now its ruined and I must start over. Plus I might need some help with testing it 'cause I'm making it on a Mac and I ain't sure if it'll run on PC's.

Later!

no offense but please delete this scenario

Why?

because this is the stupidest scenario i've ever seen/heard of......

There's just no pleasing everyone, is there? I suppose that ZEUS scenario was too stupid to make it into the Gold edition of Civ 2. It ran on the same principle of Zeus and Hades battling for the loyalty of other civs. Unfortunately, yer entitled to your own opinions.

Well I just made the paranormal units paradroppable instead of transportable. So now you'll be able to "paradrop" units near cities and attack. Just running through it to check out so the scenario should be released in a few days. Check back later.

It's a novel idea, leonel.

So what happens when one of the protagonists get defeated...
Like if the God side conquer the main city of the Evil ones, or vice versa?

Just curious....

Yes, I guess my scenario should be just a novel thing. :D

Well there are 7 "civs"

Forces of God
Forces of Satan
Peoples of God
Humanists
Muslims
Sinners
Pagans

What I do in my trial runs is try to conquor all the "earth" civs, then launch an attack on Hell. The Forces of God's only allies are the Peoples of God, who turn their back to the Forces of God later in the game so that EVERYONES against the Forces of God. The intent is that the defenses surrounding the capitol city of the Forces Of Satan of Hell (couldn't find a better name.) are so strong, that the Forces of God will have to conquor the other FoS cities before they can concentrate on the defenses. Once the FoG conquor the FoS city of Hell (or the FoS conquor the FoG city of New Jerusalem) you just get a story window and on the end you have a -THIS SCENARIO ENDS HERE- and yeah. Try it out!

Well, it's a strange scenario for sure but there is nothing wrong with it. :p Don't delete it leonel!

Thanks Thunderfall! And don't you worry! I ain't gonna give into one critic. I guess I'm a head of my time. ;-)

And I am partially to mostly certain that I have completed my first public scenario to its best possible extent. Just e-mail bugs to me (its enclosed in the readme.txt) and I'll fix it. Download it in its finalness at the TOP OF THIS TOPIC PAGE. Enjoy!

It's ok. Needs a little work, but it's ok. Looking forward to version 2, leonel. :goodjob:

I couldn't get this scenario to work with my MGE.

It gives a dll error message...

Some pointers, leonel?

Also can the scenario be completed if you play as the Muslims Sinners or Pagans?

I think you could come up with some better rival civs personally...

Ya know what? I bet it's that you're running the original CIV 2, right? I dunno. I made this scenario on CIV 2 MGE with Fantastic Worlds etc. Maybe that's the problem.

And it IS possible to be the Muslims and Sinners since the Muslims have strong attacking units and defense units and the Sinners have good defensive units. The Pagans are supposed to be something like the Neutrals in the WW2 scenario that came with Civ 2, since pagan religions are kinda being phased out by globalization, Islam or other forces.

There might be a graphic update primarily to the defensive units like the Skyscrapers, Mosques, Idols, etc and make them look really like skyscrapers and mosques and idols, etc.

Again, sorry 'cause I dunno what that dll problem is. Maybe in September. Thanks for the feedback!

I think...you have done something of interest here...

I would make a few changes that you may see fit to observe or toss in the trash...

1) If you play God, then you should have only 4 units, Jesus Christ, Arch Angels, Saints and 'Devotees'. Christ would obviously be the ultimate unit, and Devotees would can only be built by the forces of God. Give them a middle range attack and low defense, but cost next to nothing.

2) If you play Satan, then you should have a greater variety of units: (but none as powerful as Christ) and you might try a couple specialized units- Satan (of course), Death, Pain, Agony, and Suffering. When any of these units are killed, they reappear in Hell to begin again but also destroy all evil units in supposed "sacred" lands. There should also be "free units" that appear at random called, "Imps". These guys have a low attack but a strong defense and they appear in "sacred areas" at random (they are the Spy Unit!).

3) Change the names of your Civs to:

Forces of Good
Forces of Evil
The People
Athiests
Scientists
Heathans

This way, it redirects some of the aspects from outright translation and gives more freedom to play from different points of view...Start the scenario so that "The People" are already allied with the Forces of Good, Heathans are allied with the forces of Evil, and Athiests are Allied with Scientists. The goal should be to capture and destroy "Hell's Fire" (could be a city). Obviously if you play the forces of evil the object would be to conquer everyone.

This is just a list of suggestions that might make the scenario better. Feel free to pick this apart and yell at me about what you don't like...but I thought I'd offer the advice.

Ya know what, JValdez? You're brilliant. :D Not only that, I also thought about that pollution tiles could actually be "sin" tiles and shields would be something like will and too much will would cause sin etc. Plus I saw a unique map of the world on the CIA website in which would symbolise Heaven and Hells everywhere-ness. Look for it at the CIA Factbook site. It's interesting. :D Maybe there'll be a Heaven&Hell2 or something yet. Well talk. :D

This is one of the weirdest scenarios I've ever seen, I mean the idea of it, but it seems to work.:goodjob:
