Gold edition + BtS- Fails to load game.

I have Civ4 Gold edition and BtS installed, and i can't get the game to run at all! The patch (v1.54, i think) says civ4 is not installed, and i cannot get updates for my video card (Moblility radeon 9200) Please help me before I go insane!!!


Edit: Error message recievedafter the loadingscreen boots out is generic, game is fully updated but won't run anyways. All system requirements met. Tech supportsite is no help, as is the readme. HELP.
