Well, I am working on a Middle Earth mod that focuses on the establishment of the Númenórean realms in exile (Gondor, Arnor, and Umbar) in the late second age and (probably) the entirety of the third age and uses Firaxis' official scenarios as inspiration. Maybe after I make an initial release and if it attracts any attention we'll talk ?

Maybe.. that's the best way to go with a LOTR mod though, by just limiting it to the 3rd age it's an achievable task.. but you would still need coders.

Actually, is it possible to have the pike lengthened a bit (maybe 25% or so)? Other than that it's awesome!

very good textures just a small thing if the unit look exactly like the screen shot then a rotation of his hands is needed i think but not sure

Unfortunately, my unit making skills are very limited, so I have to reply with: No, I am unable to make the pike longer; and yes, I know the hand rotation is wrong, but I do not have the skills to fix it.

Now, if someone with better skills than I wants to take shot at fixing it, go right ahead

You could try to scale vertices in NifSkope and see how it looks.
