A nation should NEVER be able to profit from a war with the EU.
That can be achieved in 3 different ways:
1. WMD defence useing ABC weapons
2. Gigantic convential military forces
3. A combination of both
As Sweden cannot afford option 2 and option nr. 1 isn´t probable we have opted for option 3. That means that a war with the EU(=with Sweden) can never be profitable for any nation because of the powerfull armed forces of the EU coupled with Strategic WMD.
Sweden would never attack another nation unprovoked and WMD would only be used as a last measure. The WMD are there because of their terror-balance effect.
And Sweden had WMD before the Cairo conference was thought off. We will not disband equipment for billions because of what other nations say in a conference. Sweden would however be willing to sign a document for the stopped spreading of such weapons.

In a speech today the swedish PrimeMinister announced that Sweden will take its responsibility for the peace of the world and the safety of democracy itself - defending it wherever it is threatened.
"We have now commited ourselves to the protection of our brothers in the EU. Two member-nations of the EU are faceing difficult times ahead with powers threathening them from withing and from the outside.
Swedish military forced are at this moment being shipped to two of the member-states in the EU. They will be stationed there for at least 1 year or untill the threats are completely removed. I have full confidence in our brave men and woman defending the freedom of Europe and the World!
Let it be known that Sweden did what they could in a difficult time! Long live Sweden, Long live Freedom!"
