Google Street view : visit a city as if you were there !

Yeah, I found it a while ago. Came in handy when I wanted to know which building was at a certain address before having gone there to really find out.

Some of it is out of date already, like seeing a failed deli on one street that's now a Bank of America ATM location, and so forth, but it works.

My apartment probably can't be seen because most of Brooklyn isn't under that view yet.

After a quick search on the web, it appears that some Google cars have been caught taking pictures in Paris... meaning that the system may be expanded to none-US cities ! That's cool ! :)

I would have expected a Frenchman to say non:crazyeye:

And that IS cool.

London, Ontario? I've been there before. It's alright, but not nearly as dangerous as you suggest.

No, I'm talking about London. As in, "London".

The first time I herad about thiss thing was in a speech contest by university students. The guy who spoke abut this had a very interesting point of view....

If you think of it carefully, Google.com is violating your privacy. By using those photo cars, they may take photos of your house in an unconvenient time such as, when you're lounging in your living room, or sunbathing naked in your backyard. Interesting thing to take note of....

(BTW, the speech's supposed to be named "New Horizons, New Frontiers". I still really haven't firgured out how Google Streetmap follows that name...)

Well, but the cars just drive on the street. They generally don't see things you wouldn't want others to see. It's still quite creepy though.
