Wow, so many results to take in at 1am in the morning  I'm going poring over these for hours. Thanks Ainwood and AlanH and anyone else involved with them, that's brilliant! As ngraner42 says, a lovely early xmas present. I can appreciate how much work must've gone into getting these out.:goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

(Edit: I would've put more goodjob's in but got: "You have included 106 images in your message. You are limited to using 15 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again." Spoilsports!

Didn't the Spartans tell their new warriors, when given their shields, to return victorious with it, or return dead on it? Lowest scoring dom win shield feels like dead on it.

civ_steve and I discussed this back in http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=4684250&postcount=37 and I must say, that having gotten this one is quite the accident. I think that for the dom, the shield is no achievement.

For other victory types, the shield has a flavor like a one city challenge. But dom is by definition incompatible with a small empire. So I think one can't escape the conclusion that the dom shield is kind of the "lamest winning general" award.

That having been said, any publicity is good publicity, right? And it sure beats 162 out of 177 in GOTM 10! ;) So I'll accept it gracefully.

That is unless EricRoush wants it. If he sees it as a coveted prize, then I suppose it really should be his, as my score before adventurer penalty was 12,536, compared to his contender 11,490. If he would rather not have it, I'm happy to keep it. :D

The legend says that was a Spartan mother.

Wow, I got my first award. :trophy:

The least scoring conquest win. :D

I think that this could be viewed as "raze as many cities as you can, but still be large enough to kill everybody in the world"

Going conquest was a good choice, as only 12 people submitted a succesfull conquest victory. Also the barbs were somewhat helpfull with limiting the expansion of the AI.

Congrats to all who managed to survive (and didn't retire ;) )
