Hum, I just realized that domination on our home continent is possible. If only I had realized that before, I would have liked to go for that. Now it's a little late, I have done too much that is useful for culture but not for domination.
I have a question though : it says I need 56 percent of land for domination. But doesn't that number sometimes change, going up to 68 percent ? And if it's true that it changes, what determines the change ?

This gotm reminded me of a game of chess, where the center is strategically important. I fixated on the center 'gold area' from the start, even though it stunted our early growth and conquest.
I didn't take a heckuva lot of notes, but at least the full text was preserved, cut and pasted below for your enlightenment:

Found Cuzco 2E of start. 2 cows, wheat, some hills, trees and fp's... glad we moved!
1300BC Finally mine some gold. Have 3 towns. One to the SE just hooked Horses and has a road to the capitol. The other* will contest for the 3 gold and cows with Mansa, from whom I previously successfully stole 2 workers and killed a chariot, plus a little pillaging for cash.
Have 2 barracks.
-460 Relieved Mansa of the center gold area. Have just captured Boston from America, also in the center gold area, to move into first place.
-355 Capture New York. We now have firm control of the heartland with all its gold and resources. Nice. And Stonehenge!
-280 Make peace with an OCC, pillaged-out Washington. Our economy is crashed, but at least we're in the driver's seat.
-145 Destroy the Barb town of Gaul and it's 4 archers. Build Coricuchuyarania on the S penninsula on the max food spot.
-100 Great Library in Cuzco! Not bad. Marble hooked up at just the right time.
-10 At last the economy will be put through the paces. Gearing up for another war v mansa, but since he just gave us 140g I think we'll chill for a turn or two.

*The 2nd thing I did was settle a town in the W desert where it could claim 3 gold, cows, fps, and later iron... if only all the AI cultural boundaries would just go away
What isn't revealed in the text is that we researched to BW, hunting, to Alphabet and currency, and traded/stole other key techs, like mathematics.
Mansa has been a shell since the last time we attacked him, but he has managed to build some more towns in the area between us and Saladin. At 0AD we're moving in on 2 really nice sites W, including the last of the gold. The results aren't in yet, but the odds are overwhelmingly in our favor.
