I might just pick you up on that challenge. My time to play will (again) be limited, so a fast-paced conquest game might be just the thing for me. On the other hand I'm after one of those statues, and going after conquest when I know that plenty of other talented players will...

Well done, Niclas! That's sounds like a really good finish date on this map.
You can count me out re conquest challenge. 50 is a very round number - nice number to finish the GOTMs, I mean - so I may just have one shot at the eptathlon. 3 games left (if I turn out to be right) and 3 awards left.

@Nikolas: EsatP posted a conquest win in 650AD while still in the ancient age, but since yours is domination, no problem there. You've got me by 60 years, but I've got a bit more score (710AD, 10496). I wouldn't mind seeing a medal before I move on to CivIV.

@Megalou: I really hope you are wrong in your assumption, I too have three more awards to claim and I certainly don't expect to get one each game... but maybe after this game is acounted for, it'll be two games and two awards for both of us, eh?

Sorry. I dont understand. My score was (650AD, 10624) . Why 10496 more then 10624??? Usually conquest givs more big score by Jason then domination...

@EsatP: Sorry, I was replying to Nikolas, who's score I quoted. I'll edit that to make it a bit clearer. Also, if the dates are the same, I would expect domination to be higher in many instances since conquest is about destroying civs while domination is going for 66% of the land/population. More area/population equals more score, and can often overcome the difference in Jason dates.

@Xevious: Since the Jason best date for domination is always set lower than the one for conquest, you get a much higher fast-finish bonus for conquest if you end at the same date. You could possibly weigh that up with a much higher base Firaxis score, but generally I would agree with EsatP that conquest results give higher Jason scores at the same end date.

I kill persian at the first and has full island around 1000BC. I think this fact give more territory and more score. After killing persian i dont build units before 0 AD. It was good for economics and science.

I think this is where I screwed up. I took out Persia early too, but went after Aztecs with horses, and too few of them to boot, costing me many turns. Should have just waited on my knights to come in.
