You were 4 turns ahead at the start of modern ages. Our industrial age progress was almost identical. As you did, i built Evolution late and got Computers and Miniaturization. Both Evolution and Palace prebuild for Internet was timed perfectly. Moreover, i kept a leader spare for an immediate rush on SETI. We have been head to head for the whole game and the end result was uncertain.
Couldn't win via diplo - the Aztecs disposed of France and America and i had to wage war to avoid losing by domination. I spent the whole night trying to finish it, but gave up at 7:30 AM - sorry, but real life took an heavy toll this time.

Got Computers and Miniaturization from Evolution. Palace prebuild + leader gave me Internet and SETI immediately. Went for Ecology, then as a last-resort attempt gifted Monty into modern age, to have him research at least Fission. It didn't work. After Ecology and Synth Fibers i had to research it myself - the Aztecs went for Sanitation and Amphibious War instead
but in return those pukes sneak-attacked me. Not a big deal, it was basically MedInf + ModArmor + arties vs. cavalries, infantries and a few tanks, but the number of the attackers was enough to trigger war weariness, despite i owned UniSuf. With WW ramping up i was no more able to substain a 100% research. Launched in 1800 AD...
