Did you smash the AI's, or did you win peacefully.

Didn't smash. Won. Space. A while ago. Can't remember anymore (senile).

I normally try to get them up earlier, just forgot. I will try to have them available earlier next month.

Apologies for my snarkiness-inducing annoyancyness. Any snark-class things (like the Streaker, from Startide Rising and the Second Uplift Trilogy by David Brin) can always be sent by PM if they are deemed to be not suitable for general public.
I am confident I deserved whatever comment you wrote and edited out.

Finally thank you again for the games you make. I'm an ungrateful old, mad and senile :king: and I (too) often act like it.

No problem, I need to learn to think before posting.

Well plan was to go for a diplo win this game so no use for violence.. Shame the AI didn't think the same as I had both KK and Hattie declare on me in the BCs!!! Took peace asap and went on my merry way to MM.

Made a couple of mistakes (well probably lots more) along the way. Headed for Democracy to get on Washingtons good side with shared civic which I didn't need in the end. With Hattie as my oppo and KK/Liz at friendly and farming alot of my lands towards the end I won a diplo victoy on the first vote in 1640.

Fun and relaxed game. Playstyle driven by the map, not the leader. Totally peaceful culture game, victory in 1625AD.

Keep those GOTMs coming, neil! :goodjob:

jesusin, contender. Primary goal: finish the game in a weekend. Secondary goal: fastest cultural victory. Result: Cultural victory 1600AD.

SIP. Tried too hard for CS sling, so I got it with just one Settler built (and short of warriors). 02 settled N by horses (GPFarm). Barb problems. 03 settled E by pigs.
Tried too hard to be quick to catch up in city settling, so suffered a strong Worker scarcity. Workers first chopping for Settler would have been more intelligent.

First GP a GPro, not a GS at 63%, puaj, use for Theology.
Slow growth, after CS+Bu, Mona+OR, then slav. Good tech trading. 1st to Music.

7 cities, ignore would-be-8th-West by the cow and seafood.

Missionaries effort from 1AD to 600AD. Sistine's built. Kublai dows 700AD. HG and Liber 740AD. 6t later CS+Pacif. Merc 1140AD.

Another GPro at 20% odds unbalanced my plan. Capital (with Hermitage) finishes a lot earlier than other cities. I had to wait for another GA for victory.

WON 1600AD. 12cathedrals, base cpt 150, 85, 120, 5-4-4 multipliers, GA bombs 0-7-6, Academy, bulb Theo and shrine, total 16GP. 9hours game.

one city diplo victory 1720AD. edit: contender save.

Started this game at the beginning of the month and finished it today. Can't remember the details from the beginning, but I think I went Oracle-CS and made sure to fogbust my bloc of land off the hub, so barbs weren't much of an issue.

Got multiple non-scientists for my GPP, so I was only able to lib->electricity instead of lib->radio. Otherwise the date would have been ~20 turns better. Did get a couple of GE, so I burned one on Taj and another on the UN.

With only 4 AI and two of them HR favorite civic, it was pretty easy to keep everyone pleased and I can only recall one early war between the AI...even though the religious spread wasn't great (Eliz-Hindu, Hatty-Bud, me-Confu). I built a lot of missionaries and spread religion. Washington and I were Hindu at end-game and everyone else was FR.

KK was the obvious opponent from early with his population, so it was just a matter of manipulating everyone's religion.

Fun game for emporer. Small map makes things much easier.

Did you smash the AI's, or did you win peacefully?
Both! Sort of. I actually did attack my nearest neighbor (Liz) with Praetorians and Catapults shortly after building Oxford University, as I had planned in my first spoiler. My stack of doom consisted of 2 Praetorians, 4 Catapults, and about 15 Cavalry. That counts, right? It helped that one of those praets had unlocked Heroic Epic while capturing a barb city.

I got 4 GEs in the game, the first of which went for Taj, which I followed by MT and a bunch of knight upgrades. Then I declared on Liz and bribed KK into the war for diplo points. (I didn't actually need or even want his help. I captured her last city around 1250 AD IIRC.) The rest of the game was spent teching toward MM (a lot slower than I could have due to a couple mistakes) and growing while accumulating diplo points. UN victory on the first vote in 1620 AD, with everyone except Hatty voting for me.

My first win on Emperor! Now I just need to get my first legit win on Monarch .

My dates are very late compared to a good game :(!

- The Hanging Gardens (1010 AD)
- First to discover Liberalism => Nationalism (Free Speach)
- The Taj Mahal (1270 AD)
- The United Nations (1876 AD)

I had chance in 4 or 5 elections. But Hat, even friendly, didn't vote to me , and the space race was running. Well, I had chance to win another Emperor :p...
Wainting for the next game !
