GOTM 98 - second spoiler, The Middle Ages




Reading Requirements:

  1. Must have contact with All remaining Civs.
  2. Must be able to research an Industrial Age Technology.

Posting restrictions

  1. No maps showing Industrial or Modern resources.
  2. No discussion of Industrial Age (or later).
  3. Absolutely NO Discussion of any other active 'X'OTM contest!

You should know by now that an early Conquest/Domination is quite possible. Did you finish that off here, or are you going a different route?
 
320 AD: Eliminate Arabia, revolt to Republic.
480 AD: Declare on Egypt (who has no iron), take 4, auto-destroy one.
520 AD: Jag kills Longbow starting Golden Age.
740 AD: Egypt has been eliminated. Arabia has a settler pair wandering the channel.
760 AD: Declare on Arabia, sink galley, eliminate Arabia.
870 AD: Eliminate Babylon. Military Tradition IBT.
910 AD: Physics is in, Copernicus in one, declare on Celts.
970 AD: Celts have been eliminated.
990 AD: Newtons completed with a GL. (Previously GL's completed Pyramids, Sistine Chapel, and J.S. Bach's, built Copernicus.
1000 AD: 3 turns to Democracy, heading to Free Artistry. Moving my cavs for an attack on India next.
1090 AD: Declare on America, take St. Louis & Philadelphia.
1130 AD: 1 tile away from domination.

I may have completed Free Artistry and started on Shakes, but no GL in the final turns to rush it. Oh well, had fun with this one. Should have attacked earlier as I walked over almost everyone when I did attack.
