They don't try to make it make sense, they just try to send a lot of it. At my company we have about 1300 email users, and block over a million spam messages per week. On average, that amounts to about 93% of our email traffic.
Incidentally, someone/a group of people have painted the word 'gouranga' onto motorway bridges throught the North West of England, serving no purpose whatsoever except to leave drivers wondering what the hell it means.
I drive under 7 such bridges on my way to work everyday.
I, too, am having some spam issues (not what you mentioned though).
I get them from some info@ addy. The problem is, I can't block it, because everytime the content between the @ and the .com changes... Very frustrating. As you would expect, there is nothing to these emails. Just some random symbols and question marks.
