Gov changing

when do you switch Govs?
I usually go Rep as soon as I got it. By that time I killed most near neighbors. Then build my empire like crazy, and then switch to commie when I go to war. Because of the WW. (I know, it's not WW but it's the same idea. )

Problem is. That's the only 2 things I come to think of for changing govs.
1 When I have Repo.
2 When I go to war.

I try and build the pyramids after I've got just a couple of cities, and by the time they're finished, it's usually time for democracy.
