Governor choices

If I am Hungary or any of the city state oriented Civs then I go for the diplomat governor, otherwise I go for Pingala & the governor who's ability is to churn out settlers without taking out your population (I can't remember the names). That way you can churn out settlers without impacting production and science & culture generation. Also, check your map for continents. If you are near a continental boundary then building some of your key cities in another continent will pay dividends later on for later colonial policies that increase yields and I also like to prioritise casa de construccion in that case and to have all the governors.

Not in my games. It is FAR easier to plunk down 3600 faith for a spaceport than try to build thru productions and chops.
You are quoting me out of context. I'm talking about the early - mid game and not the late game.

Yeah, I'm unconvinced about early Moksha with secret societies being worth more than monumentality pushes. I think placing districts down early is very important but districts aside from Encampments or Holy Sites don't really do that much in the very early game. Campuses aren't that relevant till you unlock Natural Philosophy. Spending faith on cities and builders just seems way better.

Of course, this is all somewhat speculative, I can't use Moksha faith purchasing in my games so haven't had a chance to try it.
