I actually played this through a couple of times, and those workers can be a PAIN when automated. But sometimes they are smart as well, like roading that forest to give you an extra gold.

This game demands "extra buttons ON" and every time we get a worker we click Shift - A. He will then scurry off to do all that tedious work, which most of us despise :)

So let the workers work, and you do the brainwork. Well, bugger if that idiot of a worker didn't set up you settler-factory, can you still lead on?

Map: ?
Size: ?
Everything else: ?

It can turn out good or bad. But mostly pretty amusing.

1 - Ankka
2 - Rik Meleet
3 - Bede
4 - conehead
5 - gozpel

Of course you're in Ankka, I'll even let you start :)

Hopefully there are still enough PTW-players around here to fill this up.

You're in Rik and play second.

Any thoughts of what map and civ we should play?

I like continents and archipelago more than pangea.

gozpel,

Sounds like fun. Still room for one more refugee from Ankka's CulDom game?

Sure, you will play third Bede :)

So now dudes, give me ideas of civ, landmass and such.

I'm thinking Rome or Iroquois as civ, no special reason why, I haven't played them for some time. And I like their UU's.

Standard or large map?
Archipelago or continents?

Continents or panagea.

Emperor would be good.

Standard size map.

Lots of barbarians.

All else random, including civ.

Looking forward to the contrast between this one and FRFR Redux (no terrain improvements at all)

conehead takes 4th spot then.

Ok, Emperor game with big continents and standard map it is then. Sounds good. 7 opponents, which is normal.

And a random civ. The only thing I want is some kind of decent start. I will generate the start later, when I come back.

Yep, you get to start on this:

Aztec start

Ankka plays 20 turns, then we continue with 10.

Remember shift-A for those workers :)

Ooh, that start looks awesome. :D

Might be a good 4-turn settler factory... if the AI doesn't mess it up...:crazyeye:

Well, I'll post a got it later...

The turnloggie:

Preturn: Ok, here we go, let's hope I don't mess up the start... First SG I ever start...:D

Ok, the start looks good, I'll settle here. Build Tenochtitlan > Jag warrior. The borders of the city reveal one more game in the city radius, there are 3 ones in the "fat x" the city uses! :D Shift - A for the worker, he goes to the BG NE of the city.

IBT: Oups, I forgot to start researching on the turn we found the city... Well, I decide to go for Mysticism on 20% sci.

3850BC [3]: -IBT- First jag built > another one.

3650BC [7]: -IBT- Secnd jag built > one more.

3550BC [9]: The borders of Tenochtitlan expand, and pop a hut, which reveals three barb warriors! And there's no defence in the town...:(

3500BC [10]: Ah, we're gonna survive if the RNG doesn't start to be totally against us. The two jags luckily weren'r that far from the city, and are gonna make it.

IBT: One more jag built > rax (4 turns).

3400BC [12]: One of our jags fights against 2 barbs, and promotes to elite!

3350BC [13]: -IBT- Teno riots, my bad, I thought we got 2 content citizens instead of 1. :(

3200BC [16]: -IBT- Teno rax > tem.

3000BC [20]: Teno is building a temple, but next player may choose to change it to a settler if you want to.

And a map of the surroundings of Tenochtitlan and that could be used for a dotmap:

Good turns.

We have some lands for expansion and I think we need that settler now, to grab those cows. That will be our settler factory as it seems. I have a feeling our worker won't chop any game forests to speed up things in Teno :)

Rik is up.
