GOZ-2 (Workers unite-stuff the Emperor)

:hmm: So someone really renamed the cities to Teno and Taoti...? Interesting...:)

Am I up, or shall I let cone play?

Rik: It's a question about availability here. I said the NE 2 cities can go one N, but the rest must stay. We need cities and got no chance to be fancy here, not with this map-layout.

Yep Ankka, I'm the someone who renamed those cities. Do you want to spell Tenotichlan and Teotichuoti (or whatever) every time? There are worse names coming, dude!

And I take it on me, conehead must have extra clogdancing classes this week.
He never miss a turn without reason and he asked to be skipped so you go ahead Ankka and play.
If he comes back and are annoyed, he can just jump in or take my next turns :)

Ok... But I'm a bit busy, up in 2 SG's + RL... But I think I'll get these played, even as CONE1 will have to wait...:D You choose. :p

No, you choose, if you can play or not. I can't decide for you mate.

This is early game though, so quick turns? Best incentive you ever get :)

And don't whinge about 2 SG's. I was up in 4 the other day and stood my ground!

Well, I have been up in all of my SG's now in 2 days, so almost...

Well, the turnlog is coming in a second, I played these first as these are lighter. :) Fast beginning turns as you said.

Preturn: Nothing really, just check to see how we are doing, and press enter.

1725AD [1]: A barb pops up in the South, but our great JW stops and send him back, in many little pretty parcels. He then finds two more, and alittle village. The villagers propably aren't very happy for him, as he killed one of their best warriors. But time will tell.

In the North another great warrior disperses a barb campment and receives 25 gold, which he then gives to our great nation.

1700BC [2]: In the South, the barbs hadn't dared to attack. But they had build a weird and cruel defence machine(still unknown to us) into their village which helped them defend from our attack, and we lose a bunch of real soldiers... Rest In Peace...

New troops immidiately start their journey to get rid of these pests.

IBT: The great city of Loco has now trained a bunch of Cheetah Warriors, and starts to train some workers to help keep our infrastucture and land well mined and irrigated and roaded.

1675BC [3]: Our scouting JW spots a barb encampment, and two barbs, one North of it and one in the village.

IBT: Oh no! Our great leader has tried smoking too many different drugs :???: and let's Teoti riot! Luckily, the situation is again in control soon by setting lux to 20 %.

1650BC [4]: In the northern ranges our herous JW is slayed by som foolish barbs. They shall pay for this atrocity!

1600BC [6]: Our Cheetah Warrior is now fortified near the southern barb camp, where two troops of warriors dwell- but not for long.

In the North some battles have been, but nothing serious.

Maybe it would be time to go meet our friend Abe and see if our nations could trade so that both would profit of it.

Well, Abe does have stuff, but the prices are dirty high, so I don't think I wanna trade any techs...

1575BC [7]: For his long and steady career in the military, one of our southern troops is given Puma status.

IBT: The town of Loco has now trained a oack of workers, which are immidiately given free hands to improve our countryside. Next the town starts to produca another pack of Cheetah warriors, which are needed to keep the city defended against any barb attacks.

1550BC [8]: The Puma Warrior now defeats the barb forces in the souther settlement and razes the place, but last turn we think we saw some horsemen hide into the deep south... we must be careful.

1525BC [9]: Now seems that the escaped barbs have built a new village into the Deep South, and re also making a attack with some horse-riding troops. But, our Cheetah warriors stop them from moving to anywhere anymore-ever.

Our Puma Warrior looks around in the Deep South, and realises that the loose barb warrior was only lost and wandering around, with no home nor village there.

IBT: The laborers of Teoti have now built a granary into their town. Next they start to build a pack of settlers to find new towns and so enlarge our civilization.

1500BC [10]: Now, I have to leave the thrown and let the next ruler guide the nation for a while.

Teoti is building settlers and will be done in 6.

Teno's granary is due in 2.

Loco is building a JW, but may be chnaged to a granary. You decide.

Uploads seem to be down, but the file is small enough for an attachment. :D

I like attachments. :)

I really do.

Really.

But I said 2 Sg's +RL. RL is really a heavy time taker. At least for me, as I IIRC do have life. :p

IHT. All looks fine. See red borders in the sea east of the Ivory just north of the small landbridge.

IBT: American 5/5 warrior defeats some unit in the fog, presumably a barbarian.
A Teoihuacan warrior attacks us. That's what you get from renaming Teotouacan.

[1] 1475 BC. Readjust lux-slider to prevent Teoti from riotting.

IBT: Americans found Chicago just in front of scouting jag.
Teno Granary -> Jag war (just slipping it in before wonder).

[2] 1450 BC. South of expected location of Washington our Jag finds a 1 tile landbridge. Blockade operations started.

IBT:
Loco jag -> worker

[3] 1425 BC. Fortify jag in Loco.
Landbrigde leads to only 3 tiles. Worthless piece of land.

IBT: Americans want to talk; they don't seem to ike our jag in their lands. Abe he's just doing his job, I can't control him ! (a little lie never hurt anyone). But I will ask him to wander around elsewhere.
Teno jag -> Oracle.

[4] 1400 BC.

IBT:

[5] 1375 BC.

IBT: Teoti settler -> settler

[6] 1350 BC. Down lux to 20%. Moving settler north, under jag guidance. Scouts move into American lands to explore northwards.

IBT:

[7] 1325 BC. 3/3 Jag meets barb horseman near gem-mountains. Attacking horsie, gets hit twice, but wins and promotes to veteran (2/4).

IBT: Abe is now demanding jags to leave "his" lands. Your lands ? You mean that strange blue line in the sand ? Ok, we'll leave if it pleases you. Just wondering, wouldn't you like to paint those lines green ?
Loco worker -> jag

[8] 1300 BC. Shift-A worker. "Go ahead little fellow, choose what you want to imrpove!"

IBT: Americans settle like madmen. They now have 8 cities, compared to our 3 (soon to be 4).

[9] 1275 BC. Sending some jags back to blockade our part of the world. Settler/jag pair reaches coastal city-site.

IBT: Americans start a big triangular granary.

[10] Found new city; "Texcoclixquahtepetlopox" (couldn't fit in more letters ;) )
Starts jag (can be vetoed). Jag near the gems (on his way to the small landpart north of the jungle were our blockade will be, spots a fortified saxon warrior in the mountains. Peace man !

----------------

Gozpel, "Texcoclixquahtepetlopox" is a joke. Change it to anything you want, for instance "tex".

Good job both of you :)

Our settlers will come pretty fast now from Teoti, so next thing to focus on should be a couple of towns with barracks and military.

We want both luxes and expand north as fast as we can.

"Texcoclixquahtepetlopox" - when I read that, I almost sprayed coffee on the screen. :D No better way than to start the day with a laugh.

Hehe Ankka, real life is for wimps :) And you DID play your turns, so just a little poke in the ribs is all it takes :)

Got it.

Play delayed by sick computer. Will get on it tonight and post tomorrow.

Apologies for the delay

Orders of the Day
Build settlers and military. Found cities, build more settlers and train more troops. Make more friends. Build settlers and train troops.

Rename Texo.... to Rikem

T1 1225BC
Warriors wander and workers work.
Check in with Neighbor Abe and discern that we must be way down the tech tree as the screen shows Rop and MilAl available. Hold lengthy internal debate on trading for some of it, but decide to go ahead and let the money pile up, though Abe is not doing too shabby in that department as he has over 200g in his treasury and doesn't really need any of ours. Hoping that whoever is behind that red border is either poor or stupid, but not both.

T2 1200BC
Wandering warriors find another barb camp.

T3 1175BC
Settler completes start another.
Loco finishes Cheetah, starts barracks
Barbkiller attacks Olmec camp and finds barb horseman.

IT
Wandering warriors have trespassed on Abe's lands and he asks us to leave. Okey-dokey, Abbie.

T4 1150BC
Barbkller whacks on the Olmecs again, gets hurt but kills horseman, moves onto hill to heal before charging again.
Warriors in north converge on Olemc camp looking for decorations for their helmets.

T5 1125BC
Found Caliente north of Teno.

T6 1100BC
Saxons send a horseman at Rikem. Jag charges out and kills him. Jag at Teoti dispatched to cover Rikem.

Warriors in north are racing American warriors to Olmec camp and Abe has settler team moving SE out of San Francisco.

Barbkiller gets his strength back and collects a bag of coins from the Olmecs after killing the horseman.

T7 1075BC
Warriot from Rikem finds Saxon camp north of Rikem, and collects another bag of coin after killing the warrior.

Warrior moving north to choke point discovers another Inca camp.

Abe's settler team has turned back NW.

T8 1050BC
Warrior on north coast discovers another border north of red border.

T9 1025BC
Teoti is being difficult. Everytime it grows it threatens to riot.
Lux is up to 40% even with warrior in garrison
The Romans build the Colussus.

T10 1000
Cheetah warrior takes out Inca camp at chokepoint, collects another 25g and gets a feather for his helmet. Should be renamed Parrot

Northern warriors discover more barbs hanging around Miami

Rikem builds a worker and starts barracks.

We are much richer but not much smarter. Checking in with Abe every turn keeps me nervous, for if he gets polytheism before we do, our only alternative is to empty our treasury to keep up with him.
