The Save
Pre-turn - Teleportation ON.
Check diplo, get ivory and 3g from Zulu for Banking.
Scroll through cities, rush a courthouse in Tarsus for 248g.
Hurry a couple of libraries.
MM some cities and everything is good.
I notice how desperately we need markets and such, but I decide to go with Nick on this one.
When we own this continent, we can start rushing infrastructure.
1040 AD - A few libraries done.
Tarsus courthouse - rush a worker for happiness issues. Then I build FP here.
Rush another caravel in Sardis.
Shuffle units around in former Persia, so I can release some knights from guard duty and send them north.
At last I check with X-man, he is willing to give peace for one of his cities. Bampur or Herat, what to choose, I don't know where they are. I say Bampur and we get a 2 pop town on an island east of our continent, with iron within the borders.
1050 AD - IT - a couple of civs start building Shakespeares.
Tarsus worker - FP
Some other builds, but I won't bore you with details.
Rush a hoplite in Bampur.
A few civs knows MT, we want that and I buy it from the Babs for saltpeter and 240g

We can now take on the Aztecs with cavalry, which is much more fun then knights.
Upgrade 17 knights to cavs.
This makes me change my mind again and re-organize builds to markets and banks. I will give away the fighting to next player.
Research with a scientist to Physics.
1060 AD - A couple of libraries and a market built. Corruption is sky high, so start building a few courthouses (this can be changed by next player)
Squeeze a settler from Worker's Lodge, which will continue what it was built for, namely workers.
Rush a bunch of workers in former Persian cities and will continue do so until they are down in size.
1070 AD - The people must think I did something right, they add to the palace.
Send all new workers to Tarsus, to mine and see if we can get FP faster this way.
1080 AD - Nothing interesting, just squeezed out another settler from Pharsalos. We need more cities, army support is 54 gpt, so a few more cities will get that down.
I rush a temple in Tarsus for 200g, because I will join a few workers into the city and get this FP going.
1090 AD -
Join some native workers into Tarsus, pop 11 now, FP goes from 67 turns to 40. This will be further improved by mines.
I want those gems from China and wines from Spain, but will wait til other deals expire before trading. I wasted too much gold already
We're down to 653g and make 119 gpt, but this will improve when banks are built in a few turns.
1100 AD -
Megara founded - library.
Athens builds our first bank.
Rush a couple of settlers
1110 AD - Babs builds Bach.
Phocaea founded - library.
1120 AD - 2 more banks built.
3 more cities founded, gpt is now up to 156.
A few civs knows Physics. I'll see if I can get it next turn, when a couple of trade deals are over.
Pfft, one of the new cities I plopped down screwed up Tarsus FP-build and they lost another shield to corruption. I suppose we have to rely on a leader for that.
1130 AD -
I give Babylon iron, incense and dyes for Physics, spices, 7 gpt and 33g.
Incense, dyes and 61g to China for their gems.
In 5 turns the deal with Spain expires (saltpeter and incense) and then we should buy their wines, right now they want 800g for it.
Aztecs doesn't know MT yet, so now is a good time to strike. I set up some 30 units sitting close to aztec borders ( 3 elite knights and the rest cavs.)
Production is back to military in cities where banks where built, so we will get timely reinforcements.
When next player attack, remember to rush-buy settlers from fat cities to get them down quicker or raze if that is preferred. Just remember to backfill with own settlers, so other civs don't squat on our lands.
We have 804g and make 163 gpt and are researching Theory of Gravity with a lone scientist.
