Grab the Game, Ghandi! -open succession game-

Diplomatic Relations

We are at peace with all nations.
We have a ROP with China, Egypt and Greece.
We have a trade embargo against Persia and England.
Japan has a trade embargo against us.
There are several wars under way. Of note are the English are at war with Babylon and Japan.

Resources

We have ample supply of all known resources.

Relative Strength of Civilizations

We are the most powerful civilization by a wide margin and the most culturally advanced. Our technology is several advances ahead of all other civilizations.

Next to us, Egypt, America, England and Iroquois appear to be the most powerful. Azteks, Babylon, Japan and China are powers but are fading. All the rest are pretty weak.

Military Situation

Egypt is moving large forces around in South America but do not appear to be hostile.

Japan has had an army marching around in our territory for some time but have not attacked. Our borders with them are well reinforced.

We have a large force of Cavalry in Donville and two armies of Cavalry in Paris.

Most cities are guarded with Infantry or Riflemen, there are two and Artillery if on the front line. There are still some cities guarded by Cavalry.

Several military units, including an army, are en route to the new world in South America. Some cities are protected by Cavalry instead of riflemen and few cities have more than one unit defending.

Are navy is rallying near Mill Bay South America, Artaxata Africa, and Gordion North Europe.

Expansion

A settler is in place for a new city south of Victoria.

There are Cavalry sitting on possible city locations in South America and others heading to possible city locations.

A transport containing two settlers and 6 workers are en route to Esquimalt.

Construction of Note

An airport has been built in South America and several are under construction in our core cities.

Forbidden Palace is complete and is located in Rheims.

United Nations and Manhatten Project are not available for 3 discoveries.

Leader is located in Dye City, South America. This was to be used to move the capital to Victoria.

Statistics

Score: 1304 First by 249 over English.
Culture: 59335 gaining at 718 / turn. At this rate, will hit 100000 in 1932.
Treasury: 1140 with gain of 370 per turn
Discoveries: Every 4 turns

Trade

Trade agreements have not been reviewed for some time.

Conclusion

At this point a cultural, domination or space victory is possible although a cultural victory seems most likely.

Yes, I played one turn! My old computer struggles with this one now.:(

1810 AD: Persia allies with Germany and England against Japan. Persia want a trade embargo against Japan. Babylon wants trade embargo against Rome. We refuse both.

Pisae flips to Rome.

We sell sanitation and electricity to Abe for spices, world map, 100 gold and 27 gold/turn. Sell same techs to Hiawatha for silks, world map and 10 gold/turn.

We are still at peace with the world. We're pulling in over 300 gold/turn. I used our excess funds (that portion of the treasury over 1000 gold) to rush temples and cathedrals.

Here's the file.

Don't know what happened to the attachment. Trying again...

EDIT: Hmmm... still not there. Don't know what's going on. The zip file is only 466KB. Well, I e-mailed it to myself at work. Will try posting it from there.

Here's another try at posting the zip...

EDIT: Attachment deleted to save server space!

I could only get in two turns before time for bed. Would have had three, but game locked up on me about 3/4 of the way through the first turn, first try. Will go ahead and put up save in case someone west of here wants a go.......Summary to follow....

Summary....

First turn -
France declares war on Japan.
Persia and Egypt sign alliance against Rome.
Persia declares war on Romans.
Aztecs and Persia sign alliance against Japan.
Aztecs declare war on Japan.

I watch as way too many Japanese, Aztec, and Egyptian units cross by. The people cry out to build the Pentagon and it is so ordered. Radio is due in two turns....lowering science to 50% still gives two turns and nets 805 gpt (can't get it one no matter what we spend). Had to switch tiles between cities to eliminate starving in Paris, Hammers, Rochester, Habibi, and Donville.

Second turn -
Quite on the international front as again way too many foreign troops parade across our lands. Cleaned up several spots of pollution that had been missed. Started airports in more cities. Upgraded lots of units, rushed improvements in South America. Settlers/workers land, workers put to task. Settlers were moved to Dye City. Airlifted one infantry to city for settler escort. Cities finished with airports and nothing better to do were started on tanks. Radio due in one turn, still at 50%.

To Do - Move settler/escort to new city location. Transfer another escort for second settler and send them on there way. There are a ton of Egyptian units on the move in the southern part. Could be dicey. Set new tech and move research level to optimize time to research.
