i've ordered a hercules 8500le 64 mb. it's cheap, better than gf3 and gf4mx, and is suberb for watching movies.

it's basically an ati radeon 8500. a bit underclocked, but if it's flashed the only differece between a 8500 and a 8500le is that you can watch two screens with the 8500. a review in swedish can be found here: http://www.sweclockers.com/html/recension/rec_020411_hercules_radeon8500le.php?page=1

matrox - its still a great 2D card and better than many 3D cards which are useless at 2D display.

Quite recently replaced my Voodoo 3k card with a brand new MSI Geforce 4 Ti4600 128MB kick ass DDR RAM.

Only a few months ago

Looks like the 3 main cards are Ge Force, voodoo, and ATI.
