Graphics - a newbie's plea

If this doesn't go down too well, my apologies

I've been playing Civ2 for some time now and have grown to know and trust the familiar and reassuring flat world-view.
Is there any way I can have everything represented similarly
in Civ3 (and ditch the animations and 3-d views - I find them very distracting and somewhat annoying)

Its driving me nuts

this, in theory, is possible...

HOWEVER,

It would require some brave soul going and changing EVERY SINGLE graphics file for terrain, cities and them edit all of the FLC animations for the units.

So I dont think we'll be seeing a flat Civ3

:enlighten: No, there is not a way. Go back to playin' SMAC. Which does not have a 2d view but is better.
