Graphics Issue - gray graphics

I continually am having graphics issues while playing. A certain portion of the screen will just suddenly turn gray. See screens below.

This is not the only issue I am having. I have a myriad of complaints and have posted some on the 2kGames forums. I am one of the dual monitor issues people. The intro video plays a bit then skips to the menu without me pressing anything. Sometimes when the graying issue occurs, the game freezes.

I had noticed some lag, but I turned off aero and that seemed to fix the lag.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this. Or if you are experiencing similar problems and have found a fix? Thanks for any information you have!

Specs:
Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
Windows 7 64-bit
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256 MB (Thinking of upgrading this)

i think i have same problem using 3 display and graphic turn grey in midle one and half my display, tried everithing and soesnt work at all anyone have solution ?

Welcome to CFC .

There are people, who reported that it got better when they play in windowed mode, with low fog of war settings.
Did you also already try that?

Check out some of my findings in this thread. I've added a 2nd post. I'm not sure if the things I've discovered relate to the dual monitor problems. It's possible there is a relation.

tried that and not working, heres the picture

at resolution 5284x1050

blackscreen at picture usualy grey in my monitor and for black under ship and water they are fine in game and shouldnt be there( ithink because a screen shoot ?)

problem solve running with dx11, those problem because i cant run dx11 before im use vista sp1 and too lazy to upgrade to sp2.
