Graphics problems

Yesterday severe problems started with game on my PC.
1. I can't disable full-screen option - after restarting the game, it runs full-screen again. It's really annoying because i'm used to play not full-screened.
2. Graphics is freezing now whenever there's a unit on a screen. It looks like a slideshow. I've tried to change game parameters... But this change it doesn't help.
I've re-installed game several times, but this doesn't help either.
Any ideas what to do with this problems?

Forgive me, lasombra1984, but I also have a graphics problem, in addition to a severe error, in that, I am unable to post new threads here!

My particular graphics issue is one regarding the display of drydocks. For whatever reason, the image info displaying the aft end of drydocks appear to be corrupted. Here is how they display for me:

Aside from reloading Civ4 "The Complete Edition", does anyone know of any way that I might be able to simply identify the corrupted graphic file, in order to get my drydocks to display properly?


As far as my inability to post new topics here, I would very much appreciate the WebMaster or one of his/her deputies to contact me ASAP ... PLEASE!

Sorry for posting in old thread.
But since nobody answer the question about drydock graphic glitch i decide to help.
I think everyone have this issue, and this graphic glitch rarely to happen. The black texture usually show up in city that not directly connect with sea (eg: the city located in peninsula). The black texture is actually drydock's shadow that reflected on land, and the drydock's missing part is because it closed by land. I have edited the graphic file so it doesn't show the black texture again. The missing texture is rather hard to fix because actually it not "missing", it's because the land altitude is too high and close the back end of dry dock.

I have attached the file, to apply it in game paste it in CustomAssets folder : "C:....\My Games\Beyond the Sword\CustomAssets\art\structures\Buildings".

I have edit the file further, now it will show FULL SHAPE of drydock and NO MORE weird black texture. Shadow will work as it should be and will not covered the back end anymore
