Great artist to start golden age

Hello,

If I use a great artist to start a golden age, what happens to my already existing progress towards a golden age (via excess happiness)? Once the great artist golden age is finished, does the progress towards the next "normal" one just pick up from where it finished?

Your progress is not lost. Additionally you can "stack" GAs if you want, i.e. pop a Great Artist in the middle of a Golden Age and extend it further.

Also, you will not earn point from happiness during a Golden age toward the next one, but other counters will still increase it, like from Prahcina or the 500 points from third place in the international games.

Your progress is not lost, but each GA significantly increase the threshold for the next GA. So if you are near to spawning a natural GA, you are proably better off waiting to bulb your GA.

Very good point, completely forgot about this. Although in most [MP] games I rarely have more then one or two natural GAs
