In the Mesopotamia scenario I cannot use my great leader to hurry improvements. Is that normal?

MGL

great lightouse...is that a problem? cause in the same scenario I already rushed The yramids...

what do you mean with the 3rd question?

Thanks

hmmm......An MGL shouldn't be able to rush wonders. Only SGLs can do that. Been a while since I played, though. Are you sure you didn't rush the pyramids with an SGL?

If you have shields from any of the sources listed in his 3rd question, you can't build a Wonder, since they cannont be rushed except by SGLs.

ummmm....etc

you're right, I've been thinking and I rushed The Pyramids with a scientific leader, sorry... :)

It doesn't work. When you use the Age of Science, the display will say you will get a tech (let's call it tech X) in 7 turns instead of 10. However, you won't actually get tech X until turn 10.

The display will go something like:
7 turns left
6
5
4
3
3
2
2
1
1

While the display changes to the correct time it should be, you don't actually get the tech then.

I've stumbled on this yesterday, as I used this for the first time. In my game, which was very SGL-intensive for me (about 6 or 7 so far) I had no wonder to build that time, so I thought why not try the Scientific age thing. I've never used it before, but this would mean now that I could keep up my 4 turn research as 25% increase of science is a lot. But I got about the turn counts you described GA. Luckily Civassist II does it's calculations correctly. But it cost me 5 turns already, but I got a nice amount of gold now.

But what I want to know. C3C says the scientific age lasts for 20 turns. Does this at least work???? This would greatly speed up MM.

Weird the way i had it worked was if you use the SGL you get a bonus to research in the city in question. Its not a great deal but it seems you get an additional 3 beakers in that city for 20 turns if im not mistaken. It does not make much sence that they can rush wonders but its obvioues thats there best use.

Ok thanks for clearing that up i just thought it was a bit poor. Better than nothing. In all cities it would be worth having.
