Great Library Prebuild - Where?

It has been suggested that we some time should start the prebuild to the Great Library in Shen Ling. Although this seems fine in itself, I hate the thought of loosing such a good settler producer to a wonder build.

Isn't there another city we can use for the wonder, and let Shen Ling give us many settlers to populate our land? We need cities, many cities, and I'm not sure we can afford using Shen Ling to build a wonder.

Any thoughts?

At the moment we dont have enough cities to start a prebuild. Sad, yet true. maybe our fourth city could start it straight away.

We definitely do not have enough cities for a pre-build now. To start now would be suicide. It would set us even further back. One reason we research slower is because of our lack of infrastructure. I don't think it is time to go crippling the small amount we do have.

True... using Shen Ling for the prebuild is not the most preferable option. During that same time period, we could produce an extra 6 settlers if we so desired, but the benefits of the benefits of the Great Library may well be worth it.

Of course, if we don't get Writing, the point is fairly moot.

I think just about 2 more settlers, then start prebuild. Our other cities wil become independant and we can produce settlers and warriors from there. It will be sooooo much more of a put back if we dont get the GL to our opponents. THe pre-build should come as soon as possible.
