Great People from the wrong Civ!

I'm playing as the English, but all of the names of my great people seem to have been drawn from another civ's list - either China or Japan, I can't remember, and I see notification that "Sir Isaac Newton has been born in a land faraway", etc.

Granted, this is a cosmetic bug, but still worth adding to the bug list. I haven't played extensively enough to tell if this is a general problem with other civs...

Also having CTD issues, increasing later in the game (I always play Huge maps ), but this is already well covered elsewhere in this forum!

There isn't any connection between civ and great people, possibly due to lack of names. I would for instance be struggling to find a list of ten Mongolian artists or ten Egyptian scientists, and I'd guess Firaxis hit the same problem. Given the number of great people that appear in an average game I think it's either this or having great people with the same name popping up two or three times.

Not a bug, that's a feature.

Yep, it's a feature. There are lots of Civs that hadn't many great people of a certain category, and there are a lot of great people that were not from any of the included civilizations. For example, name some Russian Great Prophets or explain how you could include a rather essential Greap Prophet like Moses ...
