[R&F] Great people point value severely broken

The value of great people seems to suffer from severe bugs. For example, a great person in the renaissance costs 610 points, the great person right after him costs 240 (!!) points and the one after 545 points. This bug renders the game - further (besides the AI and other problems) - unplayable. I gave up my latest deity triumphing games because this was too disturbing to ignore. Such bugs of the type, oops, you just lost ten thousand gold because the game is broken, are mandatory to be fixed asap. When it is a human's turn to recruit a great person, under those circumstances and knowing what is going on, one can pass the current great person and then recruit the next 2 great people for the price of one! This is not possible to control when it is the AI recruiting a great person, but even if it was, the outcome is still heavily incorrect (timing, number of great people recruited, who specifically is recruited and who isn't) and has huge consequences on the course of the game.

R&F, all DLC, version 1.0.0.262 (362541), no mods.
 
Could it be that an AI bought the Great Person you wanted with gold or faith?
If so, you saved enough GP points to get your next GP cheaper.

Not sure how it could be cheaper with the second one though?

I can't help myself, but I am hoarding GS in every game I play and I have never seen this.
 
No, the description is clear. This bug was not present in the vanilla release, but the file system was somehow messed up in some update.
