So, being a European, I finally got to start up my first BnW game this morning. I was France, Ethiopia and Marocco my neighbours. The both go Piety and found two first religions in world, so I realize I'm in trouble on that front.
Anyway, sure enough, Ethiopia sends in a GP soon after I found my own religion. I use units to block him for some 50+ turns until I finally get another GP, which I then decide to use defensively in Paris after spreading to a couple of cities. But then, bam, next turn, Ethiopia moves in and converts Paris, with a GP sitting in it! They had the Reformation belief that lets them buy science buildings, btw.
So my question is:
- Will GP always be able to convert a city with Great Prophet in it in BnW?
- Will it only happen if you have Piety?
- Or was it because I hadn't Enhanced my own religion yet, that my GP didn't have the Inquisitor ability to block spreading?
- Or was it a bug?
