GTA:San Andreas

Thanks, Smash. I've got my Grove St. greens on. I was just wondering if respect was linked to missions, or if it is something you can max out at any time, like muscle and stamina. I have enough respect to have 3 people follow me, up from 1, so it is improving slowly.

Respect will go up when you eliminate rival gang members. Also wearing the Grove colors.
Respect will max out when you fight some of the gang wars(opens after a certain mission in Los Santos).

All it really does is make it easier to recruit gang members to help fight the gang wars. Also more can be recruited at one time.
However, all these gang members do is get in your way so it is better to defend/expand the Grove on your own.

Its almost time for a 3rd run thru. Those dam TV ads do a great job of making a person want to play this game.

Speaking of gang wars does anyone know where the last yellow gang territory is? I wipes out the ballers but this yellow gang has one last territory I can not find.

Vice City I must admit pales to San Andreas. I beat Vice city in about 4 days, I am on the last mission in San Andreas and it's been almost two weeks.

Generally, the missing territory is up in the marina in the extreme top left corner of the map.Over the bridge from San Fiero.

I have no idea why a territory is up there, but it is.Always a yellow one..Vargas iirc.

Yes indeed. This GTA is bigger and better than any other.Every version has something I luv but the sheer imenseness of San Andreas takes the prize.

I can't wait(yet again ;)) till the next one on the PS3.Rockstar North has pretty much maxed out the PS2.Can you imagine the wonderful things this gang will accomplish with more...everything.... to work with?

The only thing that has degraded from 3>SA is the comedy radio content. Not exactly a game killer but hopefully they will put a little more into it next go.

Yeah I was just thinking yesterday about how the PS2 has become outdated for GTA. :D

I've realized the best thing about this game: You can play for 2 minutes or 12 hours and still make progress, unlike Civ where when you sit down you know you want to dedicate a fair amount of time for it. Occasionally I'll turn on San Andreas for only 5 minutes- go up on a rooftop, pop some rival gang members, scoop up the ammo and cash, (and occasionally increase my pistol skill- hitman here I come), go home and save. Or I'll go driving around until I find a tag or two and that's all I'll do for a few days until I have free time to really sit down and play some missions.

One gripe- I'm trying to do this without cheats or hints (ok, I peeked a little) so I didn't know that the dancing side game in the Alhambra dance club doesn't do anything for you. Pool at least give you cash, playing basketball increases muscle, I thought dancing might increase sex appeal, so I played for a while, unlocked a few more difficult songs, and nothing. Maybe it factors into dating? I haven't gotten to that yet.

The dancing will factor in dating. One date is going out dancing. You need to score a certain amount to impress the gal.Same deal, hit buttons...Hey,Hey,Hey...same song every time.

Thing I disliked the most about dancing was I could never actually watch CJ groove some moves.I am always watching the button sequence across the bottom of screen.

Me too! It seems like such a waste of the graphics. Nice idea, but not the best implementation.
