After further observation,it appears that license plate(which actually was UFO5 5AM) was just a fluke.No pattern emerging.They change all the time.

Train missions look pretty easy. Just don't go to fast. There's trucking missions and pimping missions as well to do.
Actually you do have to go pretty fast.You're on a time limit that is pretty tight.
But not too fast or derail.I had her up to 48 mph coming across the bridge into SF.She started hopping so I backed off but I think I could have made 50 mph.

Got up to 153 "kills since last checkpoint" last night.Could have went on indefinitely.
Not at a place you would think either.Did it on the hill beside CJ's garage in SF.Just kept lobbing grenades.Horrible carnage

I have a new fave plane, the Hydra. I just got the racing missions, and started to do one of the flying one when I saw it cool jet, and it started on my air-feild so I parked it inside my hanger in hopes that it is still there. It was ^_^ It is so cool, and pretty easy to get.

..and just finished 50 oysters.After trying to do oysters with a jetpack,I would recommend using a Sea Sparrow.It has a machine gun mounted next to a pontoon to occupy the flight time between destinations

That 2nd Tri at Fisher's Lagoon is unreal.The bike leg is extremely long.
The whole race took me just over 13 minutes total.I can't see winning it without the extra lung capacity gained from collecting all the oysters.
There must be decent mula in voice overs.We got some pretty big names in this game.

Just started (got it for Christmas) and have a few questions.
With VC, whenever I ran into trouble, I generally looked for an online guide to get me through my troubles, but I also felt like it took something away. Plus, I probably would not find the answer to one of my questions there. Anyway, I am not going to do that this time, save for the photos and oysters which are apparently quite difficult or impossible without some guidance.
So, does anyone know from experience whether the Pay 'n Sprays on other islands are open for business when visiting before you are supposed to? I swam over to Flint, stole a tractor, then stole a Rancher and was doing pretty well. Since in the process I had been shot a few times, I was planning on buying a safehouse over there, getting my health, going outside and have a miny shootout to maybe get some weapons if luck was with me, and make my way to the Pay 'n Spray in Whetstone (by the way, I consider the save and reload to get rid of stars thing an exploit, so would not have done that). But the houses were not for sale yet. I decided to try for the Pay 'n Spray anyway, even though it was quite a drive in a beat up Rancher, and I was about a block short of where the Pay 'n Spray was, I think, but I didn't see the icon on the map. Does anyone happen to know for sure if it is off limits?
Next up, on the pimping missions I got the message that the girl might be in trouble because the guy said he got crabs from her right after dropping off a girl. Was this the other girl that was in trouble? I could find this one out more easily, byt the pimping mission is somewhat time consuming and I want to avoid making the same mistake. Perhaps I would have been given more information had I stayed in the car, but I thought it was the girl I just dropped off so I got out and smacked him around. Apparently that is a no-no.
Does sex appeal have anything to do with points in dance contests? I just tried Life's a Beach, and got almost all goods, with a roughly equal number of perfects and bads thrown in, and fell 30 points short. Then tried again and I think I had lower sex appeal, and also didn't do quite as well, and missed 4000 points by over 1000.
Finally, for that person who mentioned off track betting. Are you sure that tapping any button makes a difference? It didn't seem to for me.
Or not finally. I have also been taking it slowly, not doing all that many missions. Trying to learn the city first, because that seems to make everything else easier, and right now I am still getting lost. Which means, as I have already said, I am trapped on the first island for now. What is a good source of income? I did the firetruck missions and made quite a bit (I found them almost as difficult as the ones in VC because I had a lot of trouble telling which person was on fire, but still managed to pass it the first try) but now am a little short on funds and I am interested in acquiring some more real estate. As in something else with a garage.
Wow, this is much longer than intended, but one more thing. Is there any task that gives weapons in safe houses, as was the case with hidden packages in the past? I have 24 tags sprayed, and no weapon has popped up. I was rather disappointed.

Pay'N'Sprays-I beleive they are closed.I think everything is closed until you open up the other cities thru gameplay/missions.
Besides,the way this version is,there is nothing to do in still "locked" areas.
Pimping I'm not sure what you mean.You do have to get out of the car a few times to "enforce" your ladies.Most of it is just dropping off and picking up.
You need pimping level 10 to complete and the Hookers will pay to be with you.
Sex Appeal-no it doesn't affect dancing.The only purpose I can see that sex appeal has is for the girlfreinds portion of the game.Some will not give you the time of day unless your sex appeal is high.Your clothes and last car driven effect this.Try getting into different cars and checking your appeal after.
Track Betting-NO tapping does nothing.The way it structured though,it is good sense to bet the longshot.They will win enough to make it very profitable.
Your best bet early for cash is off track betting
Yes indeed.Each city has a weapon cache to open.In Los Santos,you need all 100 tags to have a sawed off shotgun,AK47,Molotovs and Tec 9 at your safehous in the Grove.
San Feirro you do 50 photo opportunities.In Las Venturas you'll be after 50 horseshoes.
There is another cache of weapons that will appear after a mission....I'm not gonna say more so as not spoil too much.
If you want lots of firepower early-do missions until the Ammunation opens.Go to the one with the gun range challenge(big one downtown in Los Santos"
Buy what weapons you can and then enter the shooting range challenge....the hit CIRCLE button right away to cancel the challenge.Do this a few times and you max out ammo for pistol,machine pistol and assault weapon.
There is a machine gun on top of Sweet's house as well.You've prolly found the one and armor in the reservoir behind your safe house/home hood

It is a nice place to be. Which is why I am taking it much more slowly. Vice City went far too quickly. The missions in San Andreas seem to be even more varied and on the whole more challenging, too.
My pimping question was kind of strange. I guess I'll just figure it out on my own, since I can't imagine it is all that difficult. I just don't need to rush.

I made it a point to find as many tags as possible (found 68 of them before I grew tired and cheated out the rest). The advantage of this is that I learned the citys layout pretty well
.To earn money I could recomend to particular missions:
FIRST: the courier missions (these are pretty easy and it doesnt matter if you fail, you earn money at every try and once you complete it youll be geting 2000 dollars every day.
SECOND: do the ambulance missions. Even when you fail (after having rescued a dozen or so patients) youll be getting plenty of money.
For easy ambulance mission try the hospital in western Los Santos (in the "Market" area) theres easier driving here. Also build up some fat (YAS FAT!) for CJ. When you start to reach ambulance level 10 or so there usually have gone so much time that he needs to eat. If you get out of the ambulance the mission is over and if you dont eat youll be losing muscle. BUT if you have some fat, youll go slim BEFORE you start to lose muscle.

I've had the game for a couple of weeks now, only acutally sat down to play it a half a dozen times so I'm still close to the beginning. I'm just now busting into the rich rapper's mansion for OG and shooting russians T2 style with Big Smoke. Great game so far, though I don't think I'll ever play it enough to know the city without the map. Question about respect. I've done a bunch of missions that increase it, and since I learned that killing or jacking your own gang members decrease it I've stopped doing that. But my respect is still barely noticable in the bar. How long does it take to build up some respect. Does whacking other gang memebers help it appreciably? Should I go on a shooting spree? Or is it best to just go through the missions to build it up?
Respect will go up when you eliminate rival gang members.Also wearing the Grove colors.
Respect will max out when you fight some of the gang wars(opens after a certain mission in Los Santos).
All it really does is make it easier to recruit gang members to help fight the gang wars.Also more can be recruited at one time.
However,all these gang members do is get in your way so it is better to defend/expand the Grove on your own.
Its almost time for a 3rd run thru.Those dam TV ads do a great job of making a person want to play this game.
