I made a short four minute video guide (for Civilization V) a few days ago on how to get the Master of the Universe achievement significantly faster then running multiple lengthy games with each Civilization (it takes less then 10 minutes per Civ). This is also an incredibly easy way to win of Deity difficulty.

Also, don't think your cheating yourself by cutting the amount of time needed to finish this down significantly -- It was a poor achievement to begin with, designed purely to extend the game (like a number of others).
Although if you opt to also do the Deity achievement this way you are taking away what should be a significant challenge.
