Gypsy Kings - pitboss session (closed game)

Ihave paused the game because there are only 8 hours left and i will be able to play after 12-13 hours.(player before me still havent played)

So please anyone who play - uppause then play then repause the game to aviod reloadings.

I played for C63 and repaused the game.

R1, did you forget to end turn, or are you waiting to coordinate with oyzar?

dV

Was waiting....we played and repaused.

Good work with the pausing everyone.

I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but Munro is away again until the 23rd. So it's great that we've avoided a reload.

I've discovered what Munro meant about diplo screens open while the game is paused. I managed to work my way around it.

R1/Oyzar - are you playing your turn after HW/TP? And also after dV/C63? I assume this is why you didn't end turn and left the game paused.

I have repaused the game after my turn.

Me and hw have been assuming that we are behind R1/oyzar. Because that was the original order in times of war. The last few turns have also been played in that order.

Ron had to leave suddenly and said he wouldn't be back before the timer run out...

I have been very busy lately...sorry...I will try to get to this tomorrow...or oyzar could play it for me.

oyzar and I have played...sorry again for taking so long.

Can someone pause the game because i wont be able to play just because a few hours. I'm at work now.
Its maybe the same for TP .

I paused the game again. 5 hours left for this turn and two teams have yet to finish their turn.

we played and repaused.....thanks for pausing

Should we increase the turn timer to 72 hours (3 days) to give people more time to play? This might be better than pausing the game if people are genuinely unable to play more regularly than that. (I know it is more difficult being at war - especially when you are trying to co-ordinate with your teammate).

I would like to avoid pausing the game though - I do think the timer serves a useful purpose in keeping the game moving for the benefit of all.... :deal: :trouble:

Also, remember that teammates can play for each other when required, and it would be good to do this as needed to keep the game moving along..

Thoughts? :p

I agree with Munro (I'm supposed to right, I'm his teammate:p)

It is quite irritating to enter the game when it is paused and a diplo screen is up. Does anyone know a way around that? I find I can't even exit the game properly from that screen - the best I've managed is to kill my internet connection hoping I won't bring the pitboss server down, and then kill the civ4 process.

Windows button gets you back to desktop...the dump BtS from Task Manager.

I know WE have been causing the problems lately....oyzar being so many hours ahead of me is causing a few issues.....we will try to be better....promise.:mischief:

That's basically what I've been doing. I was hoping for a more elegant solution. Oh well.

Maybe not what you have been doing, as killing BTS in task manager should NOT take down your internet connection. But the task mgr kill would be like an exit to desktop, I would imagine ... with whatever risks that entails ...

dV

addendum ... unless you are killing your internet first not to have the exit to desktop issue, then using task manager ... D'oh!
