Gypsy Kings - pitboss session (closed game)

I had to reload the server after accidentally pulling the plug on my external hard drive and triggering a crash.

It's back up (and paused again with 24 hours on the clock) and tp / morgan still to play. It doesn't look as though you had played either turn yet, but apologies if you have to replay any moves. (Please be sure to replay them exactly as you did the first time, if so).

Cheers,
Munro

I think it is down....

Or the IP info changed and I didn't get the memo! :)

Same for me - the server doesn't appear to be on Hamachi. Did you restart that Munro?

We'll see when I get a chance to log in!

KM did not do any actions that would be considered double moves....I am a bit confused about who should be going first now though. :crazyeye:

Well, some hosts have a rule that if one plays out of turn, that establishes a new turn order, if it is not reversed.

The alternative is that if one double move stands, then it can be "paid back" with a double move the other way ... what I call a "double back"

If you go second this turn, then first next, will you also not perform any double combats (which is often the critical feature, although double marches or double builds may also be critical to whether cities stand or fall)? If that is the case, then I suppose you could go first next turn. If not, then better to establish a new order I would think.

But you may want to discuss with KM how to proceed. Is there a war with a third party to be considered as well?

Since no double move occurred during the switch over, let's stick with the new turn order going forwards, i.e. Morgan then Ronnie from here on.

Morgan - standard pitboss double move rules are in effect - meaning players at war should play their turns in strict sequence to avoid any unfair advantage or other distortion of normal game mechanics.

I.e. now that you're playing first in the turn order, you must play and end both your turns before Ronnie can log in. (You log in as many times as you like to do this - just make sure you leave Ronnie enough time to play after you). Once you have 'ended turn' on both civs, then it's over to Ronnie to play and you should not log in again until the following turn.

In practice additional log-ins are generally fine here since it's a fairly informal game - provided it's just to look around and you don't make any changes or move anything. Actually playing your turns back-to-back (or moving / changing anything out of sequence) isn't allowed though.

Hope that all makes sense - give me a shout if there's anything unclear.

Cheers,
Munro

We seem to be down :(

I need a reload.

I was waiting for morgan to finish, and then didn't have time yesterday PM or AM this morning to get in, sorry :(

Sorry Munro....but you gave me a 12 hour window about as opposite as my schedule allows. :(

If you could reload again please...and maybe use the pause function if necessary.

This is a critical set of turns for the Persian/Mayan people, we aren't asking for this lightly.

It's like groundhog day, except you're morally obliged to play it exactly the same!
