Had to laugh at the AI during Diety (first win)..

Was playing Diety on Duel, myself vs Songhai and he was pushing for a UN victory. I had control of the four City States, until a few turns before the UN vote, when they purchase up all the City States.

A turn before I try to repurchase, but only manage to get one back before I'm out of cash..I then went to Songhai, noticing he had about 40K stored and see what he would offer me for everything I had (resources, GPT etc) and he gave me enough to buy back all the City States and claim that Diety win.

That's the problem, even on non duel games.
AI has so much bonus that they could easily buy all city states during all the game. I think the devs chose to prevent AI to do this resulting in quite stupid choices...

Diplomatic victory is still a shambles unfortunately. Can it be tinkered with and improved sufficently or is a complete rethink the order of the day?

I never understood why you are allowed to vote for yourself..
