Haiku Instead?

While reading this thread
I glimpse movement in the swamp --
Ivory bills in flight
 
Haiku is fading
Eight pages long this as gone
let's keep it alive
 
Winter for the Haiku?
Leaves of burnished gold and red
Now lost memories...
 
Fire skies buring bright,
Branches laced in evening light --
Delight delight, in silver spoons
To catch descending night.
 
Unexpectedly
Words spill across the paper --
A moment caught
 
Boy meets girl. He says
"I Haiku." Blushing, she says,
"Dear, I Haiku too!"
 
The loss: I once wrote
Of spruce, silent under snow,
But recall it not.
 
What to write now then?
No creativity here
Snow was white and pure
