A few comments, first, GREAT JOB! This is outstanding! A few things. First, the skulls for the border have a green glow around them. This is a bit annoying, and if you could fix it that would be great. Second, I would love to see resources for these. At Aplython you said you had a 2D resource set. Could you post that? If that's what's in the previews it's outstanding. Third, there aren't any cities with this mod. Did you forget to put them in or are they not done yet? Anyway this looks amazing and thank you very much.

I looked and looked and still cant find the uploads section.. I must be blind.. anyways thanks coca cola for that, I'll post the Upload link Into the Opening Thread so people dont have to go looking for it...

Ok so feedback.. Yes There are a few tiny problems Alpha 2 will be on its way.. I'm sure.

The Green Skulls on the screen shot dont come up in game, Its the editor that makes them that colour..

Yes there are City Pics, but They A: Dont match yet, and B: are all fantasy, C: look terrible in comparison...

I have 2 sets I am working on... One is Old world Map style, Looks great on the Map. The Other is Hand drawn versions of the normal Civ2

Oh and for CDG fans, I own the EFR sites in the Team sections, The Hand drawn are/should be in there.. I'd better go check, I posted it 2 days ago...

At the bottom of all pages of this site there are five links, under the ad banner and over the " play casino" thing. The rightmost of these say "Upload File". Use that link, and attach the file in the pop up window you get. When this is done you link to the graphics (in a new thread in the graphics section, preferably :)) by typing [URL*]http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads5/Yourfile.zip[/URL*], but without the *s.
If you want the link itself to have a funky name, you do it like this, instead: [URL*=http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads5/Yourfile.jpg]funky name[/URL*], again without the *s.
On a similar note, if you want to attach (up to ten) pics in a post you use

Thanks for treating me like a 5 yr old...
... For someone to have done this level of graphics and not understand forum scripting, c'mon...

I had looked in the 'pop down list' and couldn't find it, but have since noticed it, but TOO LATE, Coca cola has put it there for me... so I dont have to bother.....

Oh another thing... The 100 Resource Icons I have/made/edited/nicked, dont match up with the regular list, hence the reason I left it out...

I will make up a Bix file that uses my icons and Map, but not till Beta version.

I assure you I didn't intend any rudeness. And as you didn't find it the first time I thought I'd take it nice and easy. It's not a matter of understanding scripting, it's a matter of if you (general you) has come across it before.
I believe that the vast majority of the posters here can understand it, but I also believe that not everyone has done that yet. Ignorance doesn't equal stupidity.
And even if I didn't teach you anything new, I might have taught someone else. :)

That sounds cool Bane Star. The resources I was asking about because they sound just like what Peso and I need for NA, if you wouldn't mind.
Also, as per the cities not mathing, it really doesn't matter (to me atleast) because the current cities dont' fit in, but whatever, I'll wait.
O, you haven't done the waterfalls yet, U def, know this, but just so I remember to put in everything that I remember. I had a random map made up and I had a giant 3 on it, and it turns out it's a waterfall. You should do something fun with waterfalls, because on my entire map I only had the one (it happened to be under a city I placed :p ) so I'm assuming they're pretty rare to find.
Also, thanks for the clarification about the skulls.

you found a WATERFALL?? oh my.. I bow down to your computer... I tried and tried and tried to find a 3 but never did, so I figured it wasn't in the game... So yes I have sketched waterfalls and will put them in...

Can you note How the waterfall comes into the map? I tried to 'make' a waterfall and couldn't

Bane Star, if you want, I'll post the map that I used. It's a random map (one of the coolest looking ones IMHO).
    @GF
There are plenty of rivers connected to mountians on maps that I've played, but this is the only time that I've seen a waterfall.

O, and it would be great for the waterfalls and thanks a bunch for the resources!

By the way, since the terrain graphics do appear finished, why not post them in the Graphics forum?

Um, sorry zulu, didn't see you original post,
this is mostly becuase their not finished, this is merely the Alpha Release...

Ok, I just finished the Desert coastlines, they look a lot better than all the 'square' edges alot more rounded, only once did it look silly, where I put a coastal sq, mid desert, looked like a little box... but I didn't see it anywhere on 'generated maps...

I have the Waterfalls, and a 'local populace' buildings on the 'railroad', all medi-eval though...

UM.. VOLUNTEER? My entire premise for this is the Fantasy/Medi-eval set... if anyone wants the normal grahics in hand drawn, raise your hand, I'll email you the original scanned drwaing and you re-size, cut-out, paste, organise, etc etc.....

anything I missed out?... just a few colours, a few adjustments and BETA should be out next week or so...

Some helpful criticism if you want it:

    1) It's sometimes impossible to tell which terrain have been irrigated, because of the random houses that appear on unmodified terrain that look like the farms on irrigated terrain.

    2) Many times, grasslands and tundra tiles look exactly alike because they have the same blank tiles. Maybe you could leave the grasslands blank and introduce miniture snowmen or a single miniature snow-laden pine in the corner of all currently blank tundra tiles.

    3) irrigated deserts and some snow-covered mountains have not been completed.

    4) And C3C tiles are out

    5) I love just about everything else.

    Take care.
