Happiness per population (v 1) :D :eek2: :eek2: :think: :eek2:

Features 2 new buildings: Cinema and TV Company.

Cinema
+1 happiness per 5 citizens, 2 artist slots, maintenance 4 gold.
Requires Electricity technology, Theatre.

TV Company
+1 happiness per 5 citizens, +66% culture, maintenance 5 gold.
Requires Satellites technology, Broadcast Tower.

Any chance to get this mod to work under GnK?

The Mod is running without any problems for me. If you doubt it use IGE to test it.;)
 
Hi KMP. Just a thought, but maybe you could make a Hollywood Wonder-which maybe gives a City-only bonus (or creates a luxury item for trade-like it did in Civ4), but which also boosts the effects of TV stations & cinemas within your empire! ;-).

and I have a suggestion, how about adding social network (company, servers, whatever suits for a building)?

I think this Mod would work even *better* in BNW, as you could have modern buildings & wonders also being the home of Great Works of Writing (OK, a bit of a fudge, as Cinema is different from writing-but I see it as not very different from The Globe's effects).

maybe cinemas could have 3 slots of anything (except artifacts)
and gave theming bonus for having 3 different types of work in the each slot (writing, music, art)

Is there any reason it should not work with BNW ?
Did someone tried it with BNW?

I see that nobody write here since a long time but I hope you or someone else can answer...

If anybody else reading here have tested this mod with BNW, please, tell if it worked or if you encountered any bug.

I'm going to test it this week and I'll write here my results too.

This mod can be very useful for who, like me, like the "yield x Pop" mechanic and many modders could use it, so thanks in advance for every report!
 
Tested the mod (finally), it doesn't work for me :(
(tested it only with Ingame Editor, no other mods).

I tried many times but I was unable to have the happiness per poulation bonus.
The XML part is ok (in fact, I can build the buildings and they have their vanilla effects), only the Lua is broken.

Log: both database.log and lua.log are ok, no errors.

I really liked the idea, I hope you'll find the time to update it for BNW.
