So as to close the year with a positive note ;)

I think that for my own generation and around it the most prominent one was the Cobra Commander.

But my favorites were from the bleaker/ more monstrous animations, such as:

Monstar (archenemy from Silverhawks)

Really... [pimp]

Inhumanoids had the overall best plot/monsters/atmosphere, but the actual enemies were not as cool. Apart from a non-regular Inhumanoid, Sliver:

Yes, i still recall the first scene he appeared in, being woken up in some jungle temple, by a flute player...

If I have to tell you his name, you can just get off my lawn right now. Trust me, he wins this thread.

I'm going to be difficult and say Roadrunner from Looney Tunes. Wile E. Coyote is nominally villain of the series and Roadrunner nominally the hero, but the narrative's assumption of Coyote's perspective makes him a sympathetic villain and arguably even a tragic hero. He's inventive, courageous and tenacious, but his virtues are squandered in the single-minded pursuit of a creature whose defeat would bring him little actual satisfaction, let alone joy. The Roadrunner is his white whale, itself an enigma, driven by unknown motivations, but symbolising the tragic self-destruction of the protagonist.

And, y'know, that's some sophisticated characterisation for five minute shorts about things going "splat".

To me, it's a tie between Jerry the Mouse and Tweety the Yellow Canary.

Can Bugs Bunny count as a despickable villain to a poor certain duck?

Montgomery Burns, y'all.

Frieza and the 20 episodes of "5 minutes"

Cell was even more frustrating

Stopped watching with Majin Buu.

You can never stop watching Dragon Ball.

Admittedly it wasn't on purpose.

You will remain on probation. For now.
