What I asked... and I mean BUILT every wonder, not eventually captured every one.... I never have. It's pretty easy to build every mid- and late-game wonder, but quite hard to build every early-game one when all civs are a bit more equal.... Has anyone ever accomplished this feat?

I normally don't try to, but I did try once or twice just to see if I could do it. The first time I didn't make it. The AI had an ancient wonder being built and I rushed mine to completion, so they switched theirs to another wonder and finished it the next turn.

The second time I tried it I didn't try to play a 'normal' game (expand and develop and such) but just focused on getting a good 'core' of cities together and did get all the ancient wonders done. Then I started to expand again and, as you said, getting the mid game and late game wonders done was fairly easy.

This was on diety, 7 civs, raging hordes. I think the main things that helped me the second tie was that the AI didn't have very good starting spots and could only get a few 'good' cities going early on.

Yea sure - on every level, but I think it took me a few tries on Deity - but that was back when I didn't know all that much about the game.

I have also build every wonder in one city once, just to see if it could be done - I think that was prince level....

I know this is off topic, but one of the computers against whom I was playing in one game FINISHED BUILDING A SPACESHIP IN THREE OR FOUR TURNS. I couldn't believe it! I started building at the same time as him and I wasn't even finished building my spaceship by the time his landed on Alpha Centauri (in 1937, I think). His ship took about 15 to 20 years to get there. Amazing, I think.

Well I think I've managed that once, or perhaps twice. I'm not entirely sure. It's too long a time since I did, or even tried, to remember for sure. But I doubt I managed it on any of the higher difficulties. Perhaps Prince at highest. * shrugs * My guess.

Bugger, it's been *too* long since I posted here. I'd managed to forget the string for my favourite graemlin..! The horror...

It has once again been awhile since I have posted. I'm out at sea on the great ship George Washington. To answer the question, yes I have built all the wonders many time. I never play without 7 civs unless its with other humans.
I have never been able to put them all in one city though, that is a feet of greatness.
I have not yet begun to fight.

yeah i know, i had a spaceship maxed out, would arrive 2007, i built it much early than the ai, suddenly, these steal space flight, and since they're such a large civ, in 5 turns they have a space ship, 15,3,3,1,1,1, would land in 2005!!! arghhh, beat me by 2 years. damnit.
