... Successfully, that is.

It would seem to be a great way to simulate siege warfare (I'd finally get to use the Battering Ram unit!) but, before beating my head against the proverbial wall, I thought I'd ask.

Cheers,

I have some units that can "demoralize" enemy units. This uses the charm-effect by letting my "propaganda-unit" perform a bombard attack - which doesn't harm the enemy's helath points but rather cuts the defencive strenght to half of whats normal (rounded down). This effect lasts for one turn only. When demoralizing (charming) a stack of units, more than one unit can be affected. Was this anywhere near what you had in mind?

It really works, and is a great help when I have to get rid of enemy troops that have fortified in mountains or other strong defensive positions. Units inside cities are harder to demoralize, and in my mod I also have a building that blocks charm-attack, leaving the units inside immune to it. I have never seen AI use charm attack.

I was thinking along the lines of the Walls improvement being used as a "Charm Barrier" with siege engines being employed to destroy the "Charm Barrier" Walls with Charm.

Charmingly Yours,
