Has Domination Victory Changed? Or is it bugged maybe?

I was just playing a game as Poland where I am the only Civ left in control of their original capital. The last to fall was Attila's Court, and the game didn't end....so I thought maybe I had to wait for the resistance to end, but no.

I can't figure out what is wrong here. Do I maybe now have to be in control of all of the original capital cities, or...?

Only thing I can think of is that Attila captured a couple capitals (and wiped those civs from existence) before I ever had a chance to meet them. If it is bugged, is the game somehow blind to that perhaps? Just speculation.

I could upload my savegame somewhere if you all like, but I just need to know where to do that if needed.

Thanks!

From the 'What we know about BNW' thread:

Domination Victory

- you must now control every capital in the game

Cheers.

You guys must mean that you have to control all ORIGINAL capitals right? Obviously as soon as you capture a capital, the surviving civ gets a new capital in another city.

You have to control each civ's original capital.

Huh weird. They need to update the Civilopedia entry for Domination Victory!

Thanks again guys.

ah I didn't know that. So in my last game when I bribed the danes to attack Ghandi hoping to save time by not having to take Delhi that was completely wrong and I'd have had to take it anyway. I suppose that's fine, there were a few ridiculous ways to finish dom games in the earlier versions like when a runaway conquers most of the world and is ten times the size of your civ and has twenty times as many soldiers and you just snipe their capital and win domination victory... pretty silly. There is even the theoretical possibility, though I doubt it ever happened in practice, where the other civs play musical chairs and swap capitals through war and you win a domination victory by doing absolutely nothing!
