Hate the mini map

Am I the only one that hates the minimap? It is so small, I would like it a little bigger, and better color contrast. Are there any settings I am missing?

Agreed. Everything is dark and blends together.

I saw some options for the size in one of the settings files, so that should be doable. But what I really wanted was to make the blue oceans permanent (the color you see when you hover over it, instead of the ugly default brown oceans) and did not find a way to do that.

I'm starting to think I'm the only person in the universe that appreciates a game screen where the UI isn't pointlessly taking up 50% of the playing area.
