Hatshepsut fan club?

As Alex Ginness almost said,

Who is more a saddo, the saddo or the saddo who lurks the saddos posts.

Oh hell, got on both counts now...

Saladin resembles the syrian actor who did his role in Kingdom of Heaven his name was Ghassan massoud

or like an Egyptian actor who did his role in an Egyptian film called an-nasser salaho ad-din (saladin who brings victory)

For the record, and since we're splitting hairs, Cleopatra was specifically Macedonian. She'd have freaked if you called her Greek.

Let us also take this opportunity to thank Firaxis for getting rid of old baldy Joan-of-Arc.

I watched that movie last night and noticed the same thing.

I was like, "Hey! Saladin looks like Saladin!"

lol kobo any way any saladin would like saladin a beard and a "helmet"

and as an arab I'd also like to thank Firaxis for removing abo bakr means alot to muslims
and as an Egyptian ty for removing cleo for she wasn't Egyptian besides she was an idiot and as for hatshepsut well...... this is another story

I was thinking that Mansa Musa looks just like he was from a Birthright AD&D cover.

I so have to agree. I never managed to go to war with Hatshepsut and she's the only leader I gladly give techs to. (I was close to doing so with Catherine, but didn't *g*) MY goal in the current epic game she and I are dominating is certainly a permament "alliance"

First, I have a hot gf, yet I still appreciate good looking leaders in Civ IV--a computer game that is not in fact real life. The two are not mutually exclusive!!! So stop acting like it!

Second, I would take Isabella over Catherine or Hatsepshut. I like how Catherine looks in Civ IV, but who can put Civ III Cathy out of the mind? As for Hatsepshut, well, I just don't speak her language.

I think this could make Catherine angry

-15 You flirted with my worst enemy

Somebody could mod this in diplomacy: Relationships between civ leaders.

Then you'd have a REAL good reason to go to war!

Yeah, since many of the European leaders participating in World War I were related by marriage to offspring of Queen Victoria......

well, ok, this is the third game in a row I have completely screwed up by attempting to get Hatshepset to Friendly as a highest priority. I had to abandon my religion... twice... to secure open borders so that I could get my missionaries through foreign lands into Egypt, located on the other side of a huge continent.. and of course Christianity spread to Egypt one turn before the first missionary made it to Thebes....

I'm starting to think this love affair is rather one-sided...

Fraid so. Through and through, except for her grandmother who was cypriot and so (at that time) probably greek.

Not really true , Ptolemy was gifted control of Egypt after Alexander peacefully conquered it;she being of that line; and his (and Alex's) birthplace in Macedonia would on a modern map by placed in Bulgaria (look it up).

So Cleo was of (very ancient) Bulgarian descendancy:)

Edit :- and yes Im being pedantic , and she would have considered herself Macedonian (if not Egyptian), but just a quick thought :- when George Washington was born in what would now be called "Virginia, USA", it was then part of the British Empire. So we should consider him as a "Great Briton" right? :salute:
