Have proposition numbers

I think that all propositions on adding/changing/implementing the constitution/code of laws/the standards should have a number assigned to it. The number should be ascending, like
prop1, prop2, prop3.....

This will make it easier to refer to props, especially in chat. E.g. instead of saying "What did you vote on the proposition about implementing the new constitution" you could just say "What did you vote on prop24?" If that was prop nr 24.

So what do you guys think? Should we make this official?

I believe he is talking about a list of amendments. By leaving the original document as is, and having a separate "Amendmendments" document, it will be easier to determine when and how the original was changed.

or maybe we could put the changed articles in the appendix of the constitution and make a note in the new article saying where the old version can be found. in the appendix, the old article will be listd with the date when it was changed and the results of the poll maybe.

That's my vision as well. Instead of an edit system for changes we should use an amendment and striker system. Perhaps we could "normalize" the documents if there are so many changes that they become confusing but for general purposes an amend/strike system is much better.

The duke have now moved the poll to the poll registry.

I haven't set an end date to the poll.

If this was implemented I'd suggest a proposition thread in the general forum. When a person wants to make a proposition it is posted in the proposition thread and the next number is taken for that proposition.

Example: if the last proposition number was "12" I might post something like this:

Proposition 13 - Ratification of Code of Laws
This proposition is to ratify the new Code of Laws. The discussion thread is [link] and the poll thread is [link].
