I am in a tight spot here. I dont know what Medieval Game I should get. Here are the chioces..

  • Empire Earth Gold Edition
  • Empires: Dawn of the Modern World
  • Lords of the Realm 3
  • Medieval: Total War

I heard Lords of the Realm 3 is really bad....
Medieval: Total War is really cool
Also Empire Earth is good
I dont know about Empires: Dawn of the Modern World...I think its good

What you guys think??

Thanks!

I would probably pick Medieval Total war although you might want to wait for Rome Total war which could be a great game when it is finally released.

i'd download a medieval mod of civ3 :p

The total war games are turn based when choosing what to build and where to move armies but the actual battles are played in real time. If you want to try the total war series and can't find a demo then you could get Shogun Total War which should be quite cheap now, yet it uses a similar system.

After readings good stuff about Medieval Total war, then seeing it (and the expansion) for £20, I decided to buy it. Played it a few times, and thought it was really awful. I suppose you'll either love it or hate it.
I wouldn't buy any of those games...

Yeah, it's a mix. You have the tactical map, where everything is split into provinces, and you train armies and build up your provinces, move your armies around and stuff, then there's the rts bit, which is your battles. The rts part is the best part. :)

I've got shogun:total war, now I just have to find medieval somewhere. :(

Is there anything that you particularily disliked about it?

Not really. The Turn based part seemed a bit shallow, and the actual battles just bored me...

We don't have Wal-Mart here.

*Looks at Thrawn's Location under his name..* NEW ZEALAND! Well I suppose you dont have one way down under....

Well then order it from the internet..
OR
What kind of gaming stores do you have down there??

Check those stores...

We've got ebgames here, but I talked to a mate of mine who works their and he said it's pretty hard to find. I've managed to find it on the net too, at a place with free worldwide shipping. :)

Right now I am leaning to get Medieval: Total War. I might not get the expainsion or I will, I dont know....I want to ge tthe game for a few reasons..

1. I like Medieval stuff
2. Can't wait for Rome: Total War
3. I am not really into Rome stuff...dont get me wrong it is still way cool!!

But I am not going to buy the game this week..I am going on vaction..Look at my sig...then I am going to camp...
