have you changed your interest to another game?

Aww, c'mon AoE isn't that bad. In fact, I only got started playing Civ because I thought it was like AoE

Yep I liked and used to play AOK a lot... In fact its where my name originated...

I've played several other games this year including the Total War series, FM2005, but I always come back refreshed and for some reason almost always a better player  and the latest Civ 3 spell started yesterday (right after I had to get a 1 week SMAC session out of my system)

For quite some time now (September 2002), the only two games I have played have been Civ 3 (and variants thereof) and Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed. (The latter is the best substitute when I can't drive the real things. :) ) There are spells when I haven't the time to play anything at all, actually. I have thought about purchasing Rise of Nations and Rome: Total War, however.

Well, it's sort of a long story.
I flip-flop a lot, like my boy Kerry. I started CivIII long ago. Then Gran Turismo 3 came out and I was obsessed with it. Then I went back to Civ III. Then I got into Medal of Honor games on PS2. Then back to C3. Then I discovered Halo. Back to C3. Then I discovered GTA Vice City. Then back to C3. See the pattern? No matter what I find, I lose interest and come back to Civilization. There's just something about making other countries suffer at my will. I love it. I guess I'm just addicted.

I haven't played anything else except for Civ 3 since May this year. when i get bored of it, i wait a week or 2 and play it again.

I'll play Rail Road Tycoon II and Age Of Empire II. I like map style game were you can play over and over and over ...... again and again. But Civ III PtW is still my best game 25% of my free time is spent on it (if you ask my wife it would be 95%).

On and off, Civ will never die. Just too much variety and with the community here continually providing new stuff like GOTMs, SGs, as well as the online possibilities, it seems endless. Currently playing Pirates! but that's not going to hold my interest for long.

The only other games that seem to never die for me are Europa Universalis II and Victoria.

Also currently set up on City of Heroes!

I rotate Civ3 with the following games:

HOI
Spartan
RoN Gold Edition
EU2
Victoria
AoM (w/ my son)

I've been starting Civ3 games, but begin to lose interest in the Modern Era. Playing GOTM 38 atm.
